Dear lash tech,
When should clients book lash fills before Christmas?
Book each regular's last fill for the few days before the event, roughly December 19 to 22 for Christmas Eve, then count back their usual rhythm to place the December fill before it, and send both dates before Thanksgiving on November 26. That's all the counter above does. The rest of this letter is about getting those dates confirmed without forty text threads.
Updated November 2026 · Christmas Eve is Thursday, December 24, 2026. New Year's Eve is Thursday, December 31.
A small story from last December
You know the one. A regular texts on December 20: “any chance of a fill before the 24th??”. You're full. You were full a week ago. She isn't upset with herself; she's upset, a little, with you. Nobody did anything wrong. The date just wasn't written down until it was too late.
December isn't busy because of new clients. It's busy because every regular wants the same four days.
Honest limits, before you read further
- BookingSolved won't send reminders or texts. You send every reply yourself.
- It has no client booking page and doesn't take deposits; your cancellation policy stays your job.
- It needs Apple Calendar and iOS 18 or later, on iPhone or iPad.
- Your first 3 completed actions are free. Unlimited bookings, reschedules and cancellations need BookingSolved Pro, monthly or yearly.
How to book the December rush in 3 steps
- Count. Use the counter for each rhythm and write two dates next to each regular's name.
- Offer. Send each regular their two dates in one message. When someone answers “when are you free?”, BookingSolved suggests open times inside your hours, around existing appointments, using the fill's duration and your buffer.
- Book. Paste or share the reply. “Tuesday at 2 works, it's for a fill” becomes a proposed Lash Fill checked against Apple Calendar. Approve, and the confirmation is ready to send.
A message that works for most regulars: “Holiday fills are filling up. For you I've pencilled Tuesday Dec 8 and Tuesday Dec 22, both at your usual time. Reply yes, or tell me what works better.” Two specific dates are easier to answer than an open question, and they leave the client one easy reply.
2-week vs 3-week regulars: the December slot math
| 2-week regulars | 3-week regulars | |
|---|---|---|
| Last fill | Dec 19–22 | Dec 19–22 |
| Fill before that | Dec 5–8 | Nov 28–Dec 1 |
| December fills each | 2 | 1 to 2 |
| Slots for 10 clients | About 20 | About 10 to 20 |
Count your two groups separately. If the total is bigger than your December hours, that's the conversation to have in November, not on the 20th.
Who should use something else
If you want clients to book and pay a deposit on their own at midnight, a booking site with deposits fits better. If a salon front desk runs your book, you don't need this. BookingSolved is for the solo tech whose clients already text, who wants Apple Calendar to stay the source of truth. One design decision we made: it reads only the message you choose to share, on your device, and never reads your conversations in the background.
